The
Principals
John
Canning
Founder and President, John Canning is a member of the American
Institute of Conservators (AIC), and the company is pre-qualified
for restoration and conservation work on projects under the
auspices of the New York Landmark Preservation Commission
and the U.S. Department of the Interior.
John
was educated in old world and traditional paint and decorative
techniques at the Scottish Decorative Trade Institute, Glasgow
Stow College of Building; and Glasgow School of Art after
which he served an apprenticeship as a church decorator before
becoming a member of the London City and Guilds. John brought
his skills an talents to the US in the early 70s and over
the years has become a pivotal force in the restoration of
historic American Architecture.
David
Riccio,
Vice President, is involved in all aspects of the business
with particular attention to project bidding, project management,
marketing, and the development of the companys New York
office.
His
hands-on work with gilding and glazing at San Francisco City
Hall, the War Memorial Opera, and Radio City Music Hall have
given him more experience in those areas than most people
get in a lifetime.
