Mural Restoration: Civic
Our studio has been privileged to restore many distinguished civic landmarks, including the White House, the United States Capitol, the Eisenhower Executive Office Building, the Treasury Building, and many state capitols, city halls, and courthouses throughout the country. Our work involves conserving and restoring ornamental plaster, decorative finishes, woodwork, and fine murals.
Civic clients are often concerned about efficient project management, safety, security, and how building projects will affect their personnel. They require highly qualified contractors to work on landmark buildings, often in high-security environments.
We understand the administrative processes of large government agencies such as the State Department and the General Services Administration. Our project managers have extensive experience working with multiple agencies with differing requirements and balancing them simultaneously, including security requirements, human resource concerns, safety and environmental issues, and even differing goals of historic preservation/restoration projects.
Our breadth of knowledge of paints and finishes is unparalleled. In cases where the use of traditional materials is inadvisable because of environmental restrictions, we can offer alternative products where appropriate, often without impact on cost or project schedule.
